The NEPAD Business Foundation (host to the SADC Regional Pharmaceutical Working Group) recently met with and Dr. Willy Amisi (Senior Programme officer – Health and Nutrition, SADC Secretariat) to discuss possible collaborations between the SADC Pharmaceutical Working Group and the SADC Secretariat and how the two organisations could coordinate their efforts with the ZAZIBONA Collaborative Medicines Registration Process.

In the meeting, Dr. Amisi committed to sharing the work plan of the SADC Secretariat Pharmaceutical Programme with the NBF. This open sharing would enable the SADC Regional Pharmaceutical Working Group’s private sector partners to select initiatives to take up as potential projects for the working group in support of the SADC Secretariat activities.
