The SADC Pharmaceutical Working Group was invited to participate at the Pharmaceutical Africa Conference and Expo hosted from 3 to 5 April 2019 at the Glenhove Events Hub in Johannesburg, South Africa.

The SADC Pharamceutal Working Group, which is hosted at the NBF, gave a progress report to attending delegates outlining its work over the past two years.

Conference delegates included representatives from South African Health Products Regulatory Authority (SAHPRA), Zazibona, National Drug Authority of Uganda, Medicines Control Authority of Zimbabwe (MCAZ), International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (ICGEB), the South African Department of Trade and Industry (dti), the South African Department of Science and Technology (DST) and local and multinational companies among many others.
